Places To Take Kids
Too often we hear our kids say they're bored. Perhaps you didn't get a chance to take a summer vacation this year, but don't worry, there is still plenty of places to take the kids somewhere fun before they head back to school. Depending on the age of your kids, most of these places cost little to no money.
Free Activities For Kids
Check with your local library. Many offer summer reading programs. Most libraries also offer story time. This is a great opportunity for your youngest to hear an engaging story while you enjoy a good book yourself.
Why not pack a lunch and head to your local park for an afternoon of fun in the sun. Kids can play all day while you relax and enjoy some sun. Don't forget to bring sunscreen and plenty of water, especially if the weather is real hot. If you live close to the beach, you can have a picnic on the beach. Enjoy the sand and the ocean waves while the kids run around and burn off some of that energy.
If your child loves animals and you don't live close to the zoo or if you don't have the money to visit the zoo, a trip to your local pet store may be just the ticket. Most pet stores carry everything for cute furry animals, to exotic creatures. If your child loves going to the aquarium, they can see all the fish at the pet store.
For A Small Fee
You can usually catch a bargain matinee movie for a small fee. The mall is also a great place to do some window shopping. Many toy stores offer a play area for kids to explore.
